Polyterpene Resins

Polyterpene Resin (also called Terpene Polymer or Terpene Resin) is produced using only the renewable material mixed Terpene or Terpene monomer. It is known as a tackifying resin, which is highly compatible with various polymer materials such as polyolefins, SIS, natural rubber or styrene elastomer. They are based especially on the combination of solubility, light color, stability, and chemical inertness, excellent tackiness as well as their lack of toxicity.

Our Polyterpene Resins offer a complete range of softening points, from low to high. Polyterpene Resin, Aromatic Modified Polyterpene Resin, and Polyterpene Phenolic Resin have excellent compatibility with highly polar polymer materials like acrylic, which display excellent compatibility with high polarity polymer materials such as acryl by copolymerization with petroleum-based components. Hydrogenated Polyterpene Resins, which are hydrogenated derivative of different Polyterpene Resins and Aromatic Modified Polyterpene Resins, are highly valued in various industries for their great color hues, thermal stability, and weather resistance. They are used as biobased tackifiers in adhesive components and as modifying agents for different polymers.

The wide use of polyterpene resins in adhesives and preparing adhesive tapes includes their application in rubber cement and friction tapes. These substances also act as exceptional, low-cost tackifiers and assist in improving the adhesive features of Hot-melt Laminating Adhesives formulated with atactic polypropylene. These resins have strong peel strengths compared to the more expensive laminating resins. In-depth research showed that the specialized adhesiveness of these Hot-melt Pressure Adhesives was comparable to that of more expensive resins.

Another broad area of application is rubber products, such as toys, hoses, and medical rubber goods. The resins are also used in paints and leather goods, as well as in laminating and polish waxes, and in inks. Furthermore, it can be used in both chewing gum and food.
