Methyl Dihydrojasmonate was extracted from Jasmine Oil that has jasmine smell or lemon smell. So it was widely used in Asian style perfumes. In 1960s, Methyl Dihydrojasmonate was developed success by Demole and Lederer first, and been in production by Firmenich. The process was used synthesise method by Cyclopentanone and Pentanal. (Germany Patent: 1150483, Helv. chim. acta, 1962, 45’2′, 685) Today, the capacity of yearly has been above 1500 tons.
